Also known as Paramaniks, we are traditionally engaged in the hair-cutting profession. During births and marriages in Hindu and Muslim families, people reach out to us to perform the rituals. We are known for our wit and wisdom and our ability to engage customers with gossip and stories. In the past, we were paid in cash or kind for our services.
